Hi,

I am still in the US to finish Ph.D(at Penn State University). Recently, I bought English edition of
"Saru demo Kakeru Manga Kyo-shitsu" (Even Monkeys can
draw Manga). The translation is pretty good I suppose.
Anyway, please send me email.

Thanks,
Keita

Hey! You are the only page on the internet to state that Akage No Anne was broadcast in English in Canada. Every other page says it was broadcast in FRENCH! Is your information correct?

Hi - great website. You can add to your video availability page that 3000 Leagues is available in Israel (hebrew dub) on 3 dvds courtesty of a company called "Junior." The available episodes at present (11-10-2002) are 1 and 2, 25 and 26 and 51 and 52. Apparently they don't want to risk a full release yet.

Hi! My congratulations! It's a wonderful place in which I've found lots of series that were aired in my country across the time. But I need some information from someone who knows about "Norakuro-kun" (in spanish was called "Las Aventuras del Sargento Trapito"), an old anime which I can't find something in the web. Thanks a lot for your excellent site.

This is practically the only site with some information and images on the beautiful anime The Twelve Months (The forest is alive).
I've been looking for a copy for years, but still have not given up! This is one of those very rare anime which triggers some of the most memorable moments of my childhood.
Thank you!
Sille (ashitajo@yahoo.com)

P.S I had to choose Italy as the country from which I come from because there wasn't Malta, the island where I live. I chose Italy because I watched anime thanks to the italian tv channels!

Hello.

I'm a 24 year old portuguese and i've started searching for the anime of my childhood. So, first of all, thanks for building this excellent database. I managed to find most of those old (and some not so old) anime.

Still there are some i haven't found yet, and since i was very young at the time, i'm not sure if they are in your database. You see, some i could only recognise due to the pictures.

Just an example among many others, i had some trouble finding things about "magical girl minky momo", because i only remembered a little girl named gigi that could transform herself into an adult.

Now, i think your database might include this anime series i just loved so much and which name i can't remember. Each episode was a different story; i specially remember the episodes of "the little mermaid" (where each step given by the transformed mermaid felt like a dagger wound), "the nightingale and the rose", a boy that lost his father in a mine accident and dies in a shipwreck after meeting a girl who offers herself to become his sister, "frankenstein" (where the monster dies saving a little girl that isn't afraid of him). I don't remember much more but all the episodes had sad endings. Another thing that i remember is the opening of the series: a girl and a boy are watching a painting and two balloons come out of it, then the girl is sad and smiles only when the boy takes her in a hot air balloon. Does this sound familiar to you?

If you would like some information about anime that aired on portuguese television I'll be glad to offer some help (if i can).

Thanks for all the help and for refreshing memories.

Teresa Lopes
here have said it before me. I practically opened my eyes on Japanese animations but didn't know they were Japanese until I did some research on the web for THE ROSE OF VERSAILLES in 1997 then I learned it's called anime, and mange for their drawings etc., and this is one of the greatest sites I've ever visited, brought my childhood memories alive with ANDERSON STORY one of my very favorites and most of the World Masterpiece Children's Stories.

Finally either there isn't a contact link to this web host to ask him/her about this title or I didn't search hard enough but in any case thank you thank you so much for this wonderful and successful site.

On your page for the Moomin anime, you write: "A puppet Moomin series, the only one out of the four TV series based on Jansson's books which wasn't Made in Japan, was aired in 1980 in Austria, Poland and elsewhere. It was a creation of the Austrian studio Jupiter Film. (A screenshot from this series)." That is incorrect. At least Comet in Moominland and Moominsummer Madness were animated in the Soviet Union as hour-long OVA's and are still regularly broadcast.

I have finally foudn it. When i was young i had moved to malta, and they used to show a bunch of anime dubbed in italian on the italian stations that malta got. Those were the best stuff i have ever watch. i lived there around 1990 to 1993. Man this site brought back some many memories. If anyone knows where i can get tv schedule of italin tv stations from 1990 to 1993 i would very very greatful. Or any site that list info that yout think would help me track them down. Cause i don't know italian (which is wierd cause i remember all the shows i watched in english). In the past week i decided to try get in touch with all those wonderful shows.

One of my favourites was (Cavalieri dello zodiaco) which i just found out is (saint seiya). i have never relized the grandness of the internet till now. Keep up the good work guys.

Congratulations on your page!
I would like to tell you that the Spanish name for the "Trapp Ikke Monogatari" was not "La familia Trapp" (that would be a correct translation of the original title; but it is not the actual Spanish title...), but "Sonrisas y lágrimas". Also, I would like to comment that the "Pollyanna" anime has been dubbed twice into Spanish. The first one, a few years before (for being broadcast on the "Telecinco" channel); the second one, two or three years ago (for being broadcast on the "TVE" channel).
And last, I would like to tell you that you can find on my page (www.jacob-oh.freehomepage.com/anime) a list of all the anime series that have been broadcast on Spanish TVs (or the ones I can remember...).

I've been searching for it since then ("Kanashimi no Belladonna") and was hoping to obtain a copy (VHS or DVD) which I've now learned *sob* is no longer in print !!! Finding the jacket sleeve with the images refreshed my memory greatly ... Thanks and keep up the good work with your site.

Perhaps you (or someone else who knows how to do) can help me:
I'm looking for an old video called "The Swan Lake" that you described on your site.
I'd like to find it in Dutch if possible (English would eventually also be OK. Definitly not in Japanese!).
I really don't have any idea how can I possibly find it...
I'm very serious (I'll also give a reward (100$ at least) to the one who can get me these video.
Many thanx!
